The organization of the
PCC in Ordsall Parish 2007-8
The
PCC is responsible for the life and work of the parish
including its services, finances and personnel. It
exercises this responsibility in co-operation with the
Priest in charge.
The
PCC
ò
needs to be
properly serviced. I.e. minutes prepared rapidly and
accurately, and matters agreed to be done and chased up.
ò
Needs to know,
when it delegates tasks to groups or individuals:
o
Exactly what
people are asked to do
o
Who is
responsible for what
o
When the task
needs to be done
o
And what
matters should be reported back, and when.
The
Standing Committee does the work of the PCC between
meetings, on the terms set by the PCC, and reports back to
the PCC on what it has done. It too needs to be properly
serviced. The Standing Committee is not in charge. It is
responsible for:
ò
Setting the
PCC Agenda
ò
Following up
decisions
ò
Taking
decisions between meetings
The four
PCC sub-groups
set up in 2006 are:
