We Need your Help!
Get involved and help to repair a vital local community resource. The Church hall on Church Lane is in need of major repairs, including a new roof. As the hall is the base for many local clubs and groups (Scouts, Toddler group, Line dancers, Art Groups etc) it’s crucial that the whole community comes together to raise funds to help keep the hall roof on!
Join in and ha Young or old, home or business —everyone is welcome to get involved in this local event to raise funds to repair the Church hall roof. Scarecrows will be displayed over the weekend of September 12th & 13th and you’ll see them around the parish. If you’ve a front garden or roadside spot you can join in by making a scarecrow—its easy, costs next to nothing and is fun for the whole family. We’ll sell maps of the parish with the location of the scarecrows marked and invite members of the public to vote for their favorite scarecrow. There will be a prize for the most popular scarecrow. Proceeds will go towards the hall repairs.
How you can help:Make a scarecrow and display it in your front garden or anywhere it can be viewed from the highway. Or invite someone's else's scarecrow to stay for the weekend! Make a scarecrow and ask someone else to display it for you. Buy a festival map and vote for your favorite scarecrow.
