Paul's Personal Pages [Paul's Personal Pages] [Contact Us] Many thanks ... In August 2004 I was 'off sick' for about a month. I wish to say a public 'thank you' to all the church members who mucked in to make sure everything continued smoothly in my absence. I would also like to thank colleagues who came at short notice to take services in Ordsall. I have been off with 'stress'. What this meant in practice was that I came to a point where I was totally emotionally overwhelmed by everything and everyone. There was nothing to be done except to stop. I wish to thank everyone who sent card, messages, and expressions of goodwill. By your prayers and by your concern I have been greatly supported, strengthened and encouraged. Things can't go on as they were before - that much is self-evident. Some jobs will have to be shared out; and some things not done at all. We plan to appoint an administrative assistant as soon as possible. I hope to have some help with services as well. At the same time I have taken some steps to find more effective support for myself. But most of all I would ask for your continued prayers and concern. Paul |
